{"id":15178,"date":"2012-11-05T17:50:16","date_gmt":"2012-11-05T16:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/all-digital.org\/?p=15178"},"modified":"2017-12-06T17:54:36","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T16:54:36","slug":"2nd-annual-convention-platform-poverty-social-exclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/all-digital.org\/2nd-annual-convention-platform-poverty-social-exclusion\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd Annual Convention of the Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-15179 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/all-digital.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/APC12_picH.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"290\" height=\"145\" \/>The European Commission in partnership with the Cyprus Presidency is hosting the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?langId=en&amp;catId=88&amp;eventsId=804\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Second Annual Convention of the Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion<\/a>\u00a0on 5-6-7 December in Brussels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?langId=en&amp;catId=961\">European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion<\/a>\u00a0is one of the Flagship initiatives of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/europe2020\/index_en.htm\">Europe 2020 strategy<\/a>\u00a0for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It was launched in 2010 and sets out actions to reach the EU target of reducing the number of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion by at least 20 million by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>This Convention will\u00a0review the progress\u00a0made towards reaching the poverty target and act as a forum for consultation on the upcoming\u00a0Social Investment Package.
